Tanya was absolutely wonderful. She was consistent, communicative, and genuinely invested in the care of our mom—and in supporting my sister and me as well. Because we both live far away, it meant everything to know that Tanya was regularly visiting our mom, FaceTiming us during visits, following up with thoughtful communication, and checking in with nursing staff to address any concerns. Her care made us feel closely connected to our mom and confident that we understood what was happening, even when we couldn’t be there in person. Tanya’s presence on our mom’s care team was one of the most important—if not the most important—supports during the last two years of our mom’s life.

It's been just under two years since we first met with the folks from AgeWise to help manage the care of my sister in Kansas City. Since then, everything they've done -- without exception -- has far exceeded my expectations. My brother and I live in two different east-coast states, and it had been incredibly difficult to help my sister deal with a growing number of challenges in her life.

I honestly can't imagine what we would have done without AgeWise. Her care manager, Tanya, is just unbelievably terrific. Her compassion, expertise, and management and communications skills are just exemplary. She's helped my sister in a wide spectrum of practical and medical matters, served as an advocate with doctors, coordinated care, given us terrific recommendations, consistently collaborated with us, and she's been there for my sister when it's mattered most. What's really amazed us is her creativity and problem solving ability. Every time my brother and I have run up against a problem that seems impossible to figure out, she keeps coming up with new ways to keep us all moving forward. In fact, in our experience, the entire AgeWise team has been just as remarkable. All I can add is, I recommend them without any hesitation.

My Dad’s Agewise Care Manager was a lifeline for navigating uncharted territory in his care. She helped us with challenging conversations and decisions about driving, transitioning from in home care to assisted living, and getting help through a complicated mental health crisis. Through it all she was his advocate who truly cared about him and helped our family with the strain his condition put on us and our relationships. I highly recommend AgeWise for anyone helping for the care of an aging loved one!

I cannot say enough good things about Agewise. Caroline helped us through the difficult stages of worsening dementia......from having an in-home care-giver, to the hard decision to remove access to driving. She was invaluable during these hard days. When it was time, she helped me find a memory care unit quickly when we realized that being at home was dangerous for her.
In addition to this, she also helped me with my Mom who also was in memory care......taking her to appts, checking in on the facility, and eventually helping me move her when we found that the facility had declined. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Agewise to friends and I'm incredibly thankful that I had Caroline during these hard times. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I was in a long distance situation. Agewise was referred me to by a hospital taking care of my sister and about to discharge her. I am grateful for the hospital for making this referral and to Agewise for doing a super good job in what was probably a difficult case. Multiple moves, mental health issues, managing doctors visits and feedback. Because of Agewise incredible communication, recommendations, and hand holding a very difficult situation was handled professionally, and I was able to sleep at night knowing that the situation with my sister was under control. AgeWise is an incredible company that offers an indispensible service for aging seniors living long distances from their children and other family. With AgeWise, I know my parents are cared for and looked after by incredibly compassionate and wise caretakers and social workers, all helping working to help them lead independent and meaningful lives.

I had a very good experience with AgeWise. I am the POA for my uncle, and as he started experiencing mild cognitive impairment, I needed a local agency who could assist him. AgeWise helped with a myriad of needs, practical and social. They assisted with home organization so that he could sell his house. They helped him find an independent living situation that was a great next step for him. They helped find a companion care giver for him. They gave him the security of regular visits, and they gave our family members sound advice in various transitions. Ultimately, they helped prepare him for a move from Kansas City to Chicago, where he is now in memory care near family members. I am so thankful for all of their care and help!

Agewise provides absolutely the most professional, kind and caring resources for our Mother. They visit her and are our other set of eyes and ears in her assisted living situation. Being out of town, they give me great comfort knowing they see her and she loves their visits and interactions. They provide an extra layer of support and have helped us know when we needed to reach out to her care team at the facility with specific questions. They are a integral and valued part of our team and we navigate care for our Mother and her dementia.

When we received the phone call that our loved one had fallen and suffered a stroke, we were stunned. She was alone and 700 miles away. It was a complicated situation, and she needed help. We spent many days with her but could not move her to our city or travel to be with her all the time.

We began networking in Kansas City and were told that we needed to investigate Age Wise Advocacy. We found Barb. She is compassionate, caring, and truly acts as a strong advocate. Her nursing background and experience is extremely helpful in navigating the medical challenges. Lee and I look at ourselves frequently and say, "Where would we be without her?" Her communication with us is excellent, she visits our loved one weekly and has those tough conversations with healthcare professionals and our loved one as needed.

We are so thankful that she was put in the path of our journey. Most importantly, we value her as a strong member of our care team. Likewise, she has direct conversations with us to guide our interaction with our loved one. Barb Chamblin is such a blessing, and we are thankful for her support each and every day. We honestly don't know where we would be without her.

I have referred to clients to AgeWise now for years, as have many of my colleagues. I am constantly amazed by the professionalism, empathy and knowledge of everyone I have worked with. I can definitely attest that the Courts in Johnson County, and those of us working with the Courts, hold AgeWise in the highest esteem. During what has been (so far) the worst time of my life, we relied on Agewise/Dana for guidance, information and support. I think they made the awful situation better with reliable and timely counseling, direction and information. Always a quick call or time for a conference call.
